On the nose, you immediately discover fresh red fruits such as cherry and raspberry, followed by a hint of pepper, cassis, coffee, thyme, vanilla, and a refined woody note. The Château Angélus Tempo d’Angélus Bordeaux is a special wine originating from the Bordeaux-region. This blend of Merlot and Cabernet Franc comes from clay and limestone slopes around Castillon-la-Bataille and Sainte-Colombe, located on the right bank at Saint-Émilion.
This wine offers the elegance of Château Angélus in an accessible form. You do not have to wait years to enjoy it. An excellent choice for those seeking top quality without a major investment.
The Tempo d’Angélus is fresh and harmonious thanks to the lovely acidity. The fruit takes center stage, supported by a silky smooth texture. The Merlot brings intense red fruit and floral notes, while the Cabernet Franc adds refined herbs and black fruit. The long finish leaves subtle wood and toast notes.
Delicious with, among other things:
Grilled sirloin or other red meat
Spicy oven-roasted leg of lamb
Creamy, mature cheeses
Game or roasted duck
Savory stews
Mushroom pasta
With the Château Angélus Tempo d’Angélus Bordeaux, you take every meal to the next level.
The family De Boüard de Laforest has been making prestigious wines for eight generations. In 2019, it decided Stéphanie de Boüard-Rivoal, current chairwoman of Château Angélus, to take a new direction. That is how it came about Tempo d’Angélus, with the mission of making Grands Crus accessible to a wider audience. For this wine, only grapes from their own vineyards on rich soils containing clay, marl, and tufa are used. Thanks to the southern exposure and deep soils, the grapes ripen slowly and evenly.
The vinification takes place in the modern Chai Carillon, a cellar fully equipped with the latest technology. The entire production takes place under the watchful eye of the Angélus team, with sustainability at the forefront. The estate features the HVE3 label, which guarantees environmentally friendly agriculture. The production of this wine is limited, ensuring that every bottle remains something special.
